If you were to go to Bank of America, for example, you would only get access to their interest rates. Do I have to pay you, a mortgage broker, for your services?

We get a commission from lenders and we only get paid if and when your loan closes. That is why our interest aligns with yours in ensuring that you have a timely closing. Bank loan officers usually receive a salary and get clients from the bank, so they are not as committed to making sure that your loan closes and that you are happy and send them business.
Are there any other advantages?
Brokers can be more flexible than banks in making sure that your loan gets approved.
