How To: Scanning Mortgage Documents

Please provide clear and legible scans of the documents that were requested by your loan officer. If you don’t have access to a scanner at work or at home, you can use the apps listed below to easily scan documents directly from your phone.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that the documents that are being scanned are placed on a well-lit surface and that there are no shadows on the documents. Also, 100% of each page has to be visible and no information can be cut off. Doing this will ensure that your documents are accepted by underwriters and that you wouldn’t have to re-submit them.

If you have an iPhone:

Click on this link to download Scannable app. Once downloaded, please go into the ‘Settings’ menu and choose PDF as file type.

If you have an Android phone:

Click on this link to download CamScanner app.
